TOXI — THE FINE PRINT

Terms of Service

These terms are the deal between you and Toxi (listed on the App Store as "Toxi Ten"). By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use Toxi — the courtroom will survive without you.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old. The app checks; lying to the age gate is a violation of these terms and gets the account removed.

2. What Toxi is

Toxi publishes ten fictional scenarios of questionable behavior each day. You vote TOXIC or VALID, see how everyone else voted, and — with a Bar subscription — argue in the comments and remix scenarios. Everything on the docket is fiction written for entertainment. Votes and verdicts are opinions, not advice of any kind.

Toxi is for judging situations, behavior, ideas, and choices — not for rating, ranking, or objectifying real people. Nothing in the app scores a human being, and there is no feature that lets you do so. Using the service to target, rank, or pass judgment on a real person breaks these terms and the Community Guidelines — see section 6.

3. Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account any time in Settings, which erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. The Bar (paid subscription)

• Our paid tier — “The Bar” — unlocks commenting and remixing. It costs $1.99/month, billed through your Apple or Google account under their terms. Cancel any time through your store subscription settings.
• Every new account gets its first 30 days of Bar access free. This is granted by us, in-app: it is not a store trial, no payment method is collected, and nothing charges automatically when it ends. If you want to keep Bar access after the free month, you actively subscribe — otherwise you simply drop to the free tier.
• If the price ever changes, the change applies from your next billing cycle and only with the notice and consent the app stores require — existing subscribers are never moved to a new price silently.

5. Your content

Comments and remixes you post are yours. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service — that's what makes it visible to other users. You promise your content doesn't violate anyone's rights or the Community Guidelines, which are part of these terms.

All public content passes automated moderation, and flagged content is reviewed by humans. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break the rules, at our judgment — this is, after all, a judgment app. If you delete your account, published remixes remain, de-identified, as disclosed at deletion.

6. What you may not do

• Harass, threaten, or dox real people, or post content targeting them.
• Post hate directed at identity — race, religion, gender, orientation, disability.
• Impersonate others, spam, scrape, or interfere with the service.
• Attempt to bypass the age gate, moderation, or subscription gating.

7. Termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Repeat offenders lose the account. You can leave any time by deleting yours.

8. Disclaimers

Toxi is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, at two dollars a month, we both know isn't much.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Toxi after that means you accept the new terms.
